Terms and slang to help flesh out your worlds and stories within the cyberpunk genre

According to Wikipedia, Cyberpunk is defined as “... a subgenre of science fiction in a futuristic setting that tends to focus on a "combination of lowlife and high tech" featuring advanced technological and scientific achievements, such as artificial intelligence and cybernetics, juxtaposed with a degree of breakdown or radical change in the social order.”

This volume of ASAT gives you a collection of terms and slang to help flesh out your worlds and stories within a genre, in this case, cyberpunk.

As well as various ‘punk terms, some computing and corporate terms are thrown in as well, to add to the immersion.

Promoting freedom of the individual as opposed to subjection to authority.

Brain Bucket
Slang term for a helmet, normally the one motorbike riders have on.

Cortex Bomb
Cybernetic implant designed to explode or otherwise destroy the brain of the person to whom it was implanted.
